Priority Minutes System

The NC State Athletic Department has extended the privilege of a block of seating at both football and men’s basketball games for Student Wolfpack Club Members only. These seats are distributed for each individual game as per the Line-Up Procedures described below.

A minutes system has been established to encourage attendance at non-revenue sporting events and is used as a method of controlling access to the Student Wolfpack Club section during major events.

To earn Student Wolfpack Club Priority Minutes, a member must attend the events that are designated on the Calendar. To receive credit for attendance at an event, members must check-in through the SWPC App (location-based) and check out with one of the SWPC Board Members at the conclusion of the event by showing their account username on the app.

Events must be scheduled by the Student Wolfpack Club Board and the General Club must be notified at least seven days before the event occurs. For a list of current minute events scheduled, click here.

Line-Up Procedures

Football:

Football ticket distributions will be held in Reynolds Coliseum. SWPC members will be notified in advance if the location changes. These procedures are subject to change at the discretion of the Board. Ticket Distribution

  • There will be a check-in event about ten days prior to ticket distribution where members can check in on the SWPC app during a 24-hr 8 am-8 am period from anywhere. Checking in means that you want a ticket for the game it specifies. No minutes are rewarded. Ties in the number of minutes will be broken based on check-in time.
  • Members will receive an email with instructions and a voucher before the distribution.
  • On the day of ticket distribution, members will go to Reynolds Coliseum and get in line in voucher number order beginning with number 1, according to the instructions and guidance are given by the Board. Members must be in line by the designated time (usually 7:00 pm).
  • Members wanting to sit with a friend must defer back to the person with the lowest minute total to ensure fair seating for all members. For example, if I have voucher number 80 and my friend has voucher number 120 and I wish to sit with him/her, I would need to stand in line with him/her to get our tickets to be seated next to each other.
  • If you are unable to make it to distribution, a friend may use your voucher to redeem it for a ticket for you. They must show a screenshot or forwarded email of the voucher in order to receive our ticket.
  • The day after ticket distribution, the member will receive an email with information regarding any leftover tickets and the option to purchase a guest ticket.
  • We are given a limited supply of parking passes that will be distributed based on voucher number (same as tickets) until we run out.
  • This procedure is to be administered by a current member of the SWPC Board of Directors.

Men’s Basketball:

Men’s basketball ticket distribution will occur at PNC Arena beginning at max 1.5 hours before tipoff (varies game to game dependent upon how many tickets we will be distributing). Your voucher will tell you what time we will begin distributing tickets. These procedures are subject to change at the discretion of the Board.

  • There will be a check-in event about a week prior to ticket distribution where members can check in on the SWPC app during a 24-hr 8 am-8 am period from anywhere. Checking in means that you want a ticket for the game it specifies. No minutes are rewarded. Ties in the number of minutes will be broken based on check-in time.
  • Member will receive an email with instructions and a voucher number well in advance of the distribution.
  • These vouchers are exchanged for sideline tickets on the day of the game (see Gameday Line-Up Procedure below). For certain games, we will have baseline (GA) tickets along with the normal sideline tickets. Members will have the choice as to which section they want to sit in depending on availability remaining.
  • This procedure is to be administered by a current member of the SWPC Board of Directors.
  • Gameday Line-Up (for Members with Vouchers)
  • Gameday Line-Up will take place in the South lobby of the PNC Arena (by the ticket office) at the time specified on the voucher. We will begin distributing tickets at the time specified starting with voucher 1 and so on.
  • Members who do not have vouchers may receive tickets if any tickets are left over after everyone with vouchers has been through the line. These members will be placed at the end of the line in the order of their arrival.
  • Members who do not have vouchers may receive tickets if any tickets are left over after everyone with vouchers has been through the line. These members will be placed at the end of the line in the order of their arrival.
  • 30 minutes before tipoff, tickets will be given to the ticket office and may be claimed there if members arrive late.
  • You can return your voucher by replying to the voucher email prior to the time/day specified on the voucher.
  • If you possess a voucher and do not redeem it for a ticket, you will be deducted minutes from your account.
  • This procedure is to be administered by a current member of the SWPC Board of Directors.

T-shirt Policy

The Student Wolfpack Club is a large group of visible, diehard NC State fans that receive the most desired block of seats in PNC Arena. It is important that the Student Wolfpack Club create an environment that is both loud and a unified sea of red. To create such an environment, the Student Wolfpack Club requires that all Members wear their Student Wolfpack Club T-shirt while in the sideline section at each basketball game. Members not wearing the Club T-shirt will be deducted minutes from their account and cannot sit in the front row. If you are found to be wearing apparel for an opposing team, you will be asked to remove or cover that item.

Code of Conduct

Club members are subject to a Code of Conduct in the Student Wolfpack Club cheering section. Please be aware that the Student Wolfpack Club is the premiere student support group in the entire conference, and what the rest of the Student Body uses as a role model on how to act at sporting events. When wearing the Student Wolfpack Club T-shirt, and cheering at an event, you are a role model whether you realize it or not. Also keep in mind that you are representing the Student Aid Association (Wolfpack Club), and those improperly representing NC State and the Student Wolfpack Club will not be allowed in the cheering section. In addition, any actions that violate NCAA, ACC, NC State, or Student Wolfpack Club policy can result in serious consequences for NC State, NC State’s athletic department, the Student Wolfpack Club, and the individual violator.

Remember that you are at the event to cheer the Wolfpack on to victory and not to degrade the other team or its players. These remarks will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Inappropriate actions includes but is not limited to:

  • Profanity
  • Threatening remarks
  • Racist, sexist, or related remarks
  • Throwing things
  • Failure to adhere to sign-in and/or sign-out procedures at point events

Furthermore, harassment of any kind toward fans or other members of the Student Wolfpack Club will not be tolerated under any circumstances. The Board of Directors reserves the right to punish individuals in situations in which they deem necessary concerning this matter.

Consequences for violating the Code of Conduct are as follows:

Cheating (being checked into an event in which you are not present at, altering vouchers, etc.)

  • 1st Offense: Offending person(s) will receive a verbal or email warning and will not receive minutes for that minute event.
  • 2nd Offense: Offending person(s) will receive a verbal or email warning and will not receive minutes for that minute event. Also, offending person(s) will have the number of minutes the event was worth deducted from their total minutes.
  • 3rd Offense: Offending person(s) will receive a verbal or email warning and will not receive minutes for that event. Offending person(s) will have the number of minutes the event was worth deducted from their total minutes. Also, offending person(s) will lose ticket privileges until the offending person(s) attends an SWPC Board of Directors meeting and discusses the issue with the board.

Inappropriate Actions

  1. The Member will be formally warned by the acting President. Note that this warning is recorded for future reference.
  2. If improper behavior continues then the Member will be ejected from that sporting venue.
  3. Two ejections will result in permanent expulsion from the cheering section.
  4. Warnings start over for each sporting event, but an excessive number of incidents can be grounds for expulsion at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
  5. Even with this system in place, extreme actions can result in immediate punishment at the discretion of the acting President.
